The 40 Mile Point Lighthouse Society is hosting the 13th Annual Memorial Day Weekend Open House and the 9th Annual Afternoon of Arts & Crafts Show at Lighthouse Park, seven miles north of Rogers City on U.S. 23 N.
Beginning Friday, May 24, the light tower, museum, gift shop, 1912 Calcite Pilot House, and Fog Signal Building will be open to the public for the first time this year! New displays in the museum and many new items in the gift shop await you as you tour the buildings and grounds.
The Afternoon of Arts & Crafts Show opens on Saturday, May 25th at 10 am and continues through Sunday, until 4 pm. Each year, the show gets better with many new items, new crafters and new musicians taking part. Come on out – you may find just the right items for yourself, or as a gift for someone special to you.
On Saturday and Sunday, the Kiwanis Club of Rogers City will be serving their famous whitefish sandwiches and other delectable treats from the Fish Shack which will be conveniently located near the Fog Signal Building.
Complimentary light refreshments will be served Saturday and Sunday in the Fog Signal Building.
There is ample parking. Sanitary facilities will be open to the public. Bicyclists may wish to pedal along the winding path from Rogers City to Hoeft State Park and then on to Lighthouse Park. Bike racks are available at the park.
