Marqueetown is a 100% Made in Michigan documentary film that focuses on the modern crusade to restore the historic arthouses of the Nordic and Delft theaters.  Portraying the fascinating 100 year history of motion pictures through one iconic screen, Marqueetown is about chasing your dreams, redefining failure and success, and remembering the enduring magic of movies.  Filmmakers Joseph Beyer and Jordan Anderson will present their film at the historic Rogers Theater in downtown Rogers City on Saturday, August 3rd at 7:30pm as part of the fundraising efforts to restore the Rogers Theater.  The Rogers Theater was recently listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  Restoration on the north wall and marquee restoration was completed in 2023, and rehabilitation of the concessions area will be completed in August 2024.  Now entering into the next phase of restoration is the interior and outer theater lobby.  Proceeds from the film screening will help in the fundraising efforts for this next phase.  Additional screening on Sunday, August 4th at 2:00pm.

The filmmakers will host a Q&A following the film screening along with merchandise giveaways.  Tickets available at the Presque Isle District Library, Rogers City main branch 989-734-2477.
