Site: Partridge Point, a 53-acre parcel, is located just south of Alpena along US-23. There are two two-tracks that extend off of South Partridge Point Road to the parking areas. The north of the two shouldn’t be attempted during wet seasons as they are often filled with water. Beware: the land is covered with poison ivy.

Birding: Excellent for all species of birds, especially spring warblers during migration. Black terns, marsh wrens, sora; Virginia rails, blue-gray gnatcatchers, and American redstarts nest here.
