Established in 1958, Shady Shores is a 7 cabin retreat on the beautiful shores of Lake Huron in Oscoda, Michigan.

For the last 20 years, Shady Shores was privately owned as a family retreat. In 2019, it was purchased and opened to the public for the first time in nearly two decades.

Our goal at Shady Shores is a stellar guest experience. We want to keep all the rustic charm you're looking for in your up north vacation, but also add the modern convenience and comfort you're looking for.

Free wifi across the entire grounds, smart TVs, brand new gel foam beds, environmentally friendly bidets, and electronic smart locks are just a few of the modern touches you can expect.
